Tenth Church

Since 2006, Tenth has been walking and learning alongside the people of Cambodia. Tenth folks have played vital roles in partnership with local leaders and all have shared their time, talents, and treasures to empower our strategic partners to help achieve their goals.

In 2018 HFL began facilitating projects specifically with DOVE and Manna4Life.

DOVE: Developing emerging leaders, both churched and un-churched through the development of healthy learning communities of trust where they can experience emotional healing, encouragement, and learn soft and hard skills in order to navigate life maturely.

Manna4Life: Manna4Life is a Local Cambodian Christian NGO functioning to serve the poorest of poor and oppressed in Cambodia through Holistic community development and advocacy.

Fundraising Campaign

Tenth Church is committed to investing in the next generation of leaders in Cambodia. This November, participants on Tenth’s Justice Journey will have the unique opportunity to serve in Cambodia by leading a time of training, games, and learning about God with the children of key leaders from across the country. It’s a chance not only to support and encourage these families, but also to help nurture future leaders who will carry God’s work forward in Cambodia.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

A team of three pastors and two church members from Tenth Church visited Cambodia to connect with international partners, host a leadership retreat and cast vision for the future. They visited Shalom Valley Camp in Kep and spent a number of days connecting with old friends in Phnom Penh. It was a time of encouragement for all members of the team as well as the partners they visited.

In October 2024, Tenth Church is facilitating a Justice Journey to Cambodia, with the purpose for everyone participating to grow deeper in spiritual formation through healthy relationships, and wider through giving time to serve others. The focus is on developing the capacity of local and global partners. This year's justice journey has three objectives:

1. Redemptive Entrepreneur Training and Coaching: Cambodian leaders connected to Tenth Church with a 3-day business and spiritual accelerator, enriching their understanding of redemptive social entrepreneurship and helping their ventures become more sustainable and impactful.

2. Partnership with VillageWorks: The team will conduct workshops with VillageWorks, a social enterprise that empowers people with disabilities by creating sustainable livelihoods through upcycled and recycled handcrafted goods. Our goal is to strengthen this important partnership and support their innovative efforts.

3. Strategic and Relational Support: The team will offer coaching and strategic planning to existing partners, helping them to scale their innovative ventures and achieve their missions.

This trip marks the beginning of a two-year leadership development initiative, launched in partnership with Hungry For Life team for ministry leaders partnered with Tenth Church in Cambodia. During this kick-off conference, families will gather to learn, grow, and play together. The team will be building relationships, standing in prayer with Cambodian partners, and planning for a hopeful future. The team will also support VillageWorks and their JustBags social enterprise by providing supplies and marketing support, helping to create sustainable opportunities for Cambodians with diverse abilities.
