El Refugio

El Refugio

Randy and Sandy Huebert are Canadians from Lloydminster, Alberta who have been ministering in the Baja peninsula for more than decade. Having worked in different impoverished communities around Ensenada, God placed a burden on their hearts to begin a safe home within the El Refugio ministry for at risk girls and teens that have been rescued from situations of neglect, abuse, prostitution, trafficking or drug abuse. Esther’s House was started in 2010 and today holds more than 14 girls, providing them with a safe, supportive and loving home environment.

The Refuge provides a safe location where anyone can participate in ministry opportunities in Ensenada, Mexico and be challenged to grow in their faith.

Project Name 1

CaimanMirebalais, Haiti

In November, a team of 14 including HFL leader Jason Krul traveled to Haiti to work alongside United Christians International in Pignon, and FONSOPED in Mirebalais. The team assisted in completing the construction of bridge near the school in Mirebalais, construction of a teacher's housing facility at UCI, conducted home visits in the community, participated in feeding programs, and more!

I have seen firsthand God at work—the Holy Spirit is very much in Haiti within the people.
