Greetings everyone,
My name is Everlyne Imbenzi Onyango. I am a Field Partner in Kakamega, Nairobi, and Siaya District, Kenya, with Hungry For Life. I hail from Shikokho Village in Kakamega South District. I am blessed with two children, Chelsea and Hope, and we live in Nairobi.
I started my involvement with Hungry For Life back in 2009, doing trip logistics for teams while working as a trained tour and travel operator. I became fully involved with HFL in June 2016, when I began working with the projects in Kakamega, and then in 2017, in Nairobi and Siaya District.
Since joining HFL, I have been able to grow in my leadership skills as I assumed leadership of the Voice of Hope Women’s Project in Kakamega and supported the Children’s Home in Siaya and Shiphrah Centre in Nairobi.
I now work as a Field Partner with a team of four others and a group of community workers who make up the staff of Voice of Hope Kenya. Together, we help support the needs of more than 100 women and families in Kakamega and Siaya Counties, working to grow stability, resilience, and community in their lives.
I love working with HFL because I have seen what we can do together and how we have impacted so many lives in these communities.
It is such a blessing to be part of the Hungry For Life team.
