Hillside Comprehensive School, the third school in the Glory Centre Academy group, will open this January. It has been a long road for this project, as politics and education in Kenya have shaped and reshaped the plans over the years.
Hillside Comprehensive will run as a social enterprise within the GCA group of schools. It will meet the educational needs of students in the town, providing a top-notch Christian education to hundreds of students who are able to pay full fees. The profits from the school will be used to help offset the costs of the other two comprehensive schools, Seje and Yogo, and hopefully provide scholarships for students who want to continue on to secondary education.
The dream is to continue growing and developing the facility toward its original vision in the coming years.
