Matuta Ventures Children’s Home, located in Kisii County, has been actively supporting orphaned and vulnerable children for several years, providing them with shelter, basic education, and care. The home currently accommodates 22 children who have been rescued from neglect, abandonment, or extreme poverty. While the commitment to improving their lives remains strong, the growing number of children and increasing needs have placed a significant strain on the home's limited resources. The home is now facing critical challenges, including a shortage of food, which affects the children’s health and development, and a lack of funds to support consistent access to education and healthcare services. Many children also suffer due to the absence of safe and reliable water, especially during dry seasons when water scarcity becomes severe. Additionally, existing dormitory facilities are overcrowded, compromising both comfort and safety for the children. This project seeks to address these urgent needs by expanding the dormitory space, securing a sustainable feeding program, providing access to clean water, and ensuring that all children at Matuta Ventures can attend school and receive necessary medical attention. By stabilizing these foundational services, and empowering women, girls, and disadvantaged groups with mentorship, skills, and opportunities, we help create lasting, positive change for the vulnerable children in Kisii County. Below are photos of some of the students who through support have recently graduated from highschool and are able to continue on to university education, as well as some of the other students at the Children's Home.
