We started our day with breakfast and devotions. Tom loaded the van and we headed off for our second visit to Arise and Shine to finish our craft with the children. The day prior we had taken pictures of all the children and teachers. We then printed them off at home. The children loved seeing their faces on a picture, and enjoyed decorating the frame with donated stickers. The kids were so happy and pleased.
The kids also enjoyed the donation of Duplo blocks, soccer balls and skipping ropes. We left Arise and Shine with a chorus of “thank you’s” following us out the driveway.
Once we had returned home from Arise and Shine, we had the opportunity to visit the sewing program, led by Patricia. They have produced many beautiful products, such as dresses and well made knit ponchos. It is encouraging to see them use their talents to support themselves and their families.
Our widow visits included Florence & Jayden, Violet (Chilliwack), Elizabeth & Isaac (neighbour Regina), and Hannah. These visits included health updates, prayers, words of encouragement and beautiful singing.
We thank the Lord for another day of witnessing his providential care over these women and their families.
