Yesterday was a very eventful day full of new activities! We started off the day with delicious pancakes and fruit. Two girls went to the clinic and took some vitals and filled prescriptions. The guys went out and did some MANual labour by pouring some concrete. The rest of us gave a Bible story to grade five students about Jospeh’s coat. Later in the morning a couple people went out on a little walk to hand out two senior food baskets to some people in the village. We ended the morning with a delicious lunch of rice, pork, and beans, many admitting it was their favourite lunch! After we were off to the colonial zone, a historic area informing us how the Dominican Republic came to be. Jonathan was our tour guide and did an amazing job explaining the history, as well as finding us the little souvenir shops. Once everyone had boughten cigars, chocolate, and other little trinkets, we had pizza in the mall and then headed home on a rainy drive. All in all, it was an incredible experience for everyone, something that will not be forgotten.
