Sunday morning greeted the team with beautiful sunny skies, fresh coffee, and a traditional Haitian breakfast of spaghetti and eggs. Yes, spaghetti for breakfast! Apparently, Canadians have been doing breakfast wrong all these years.

After breakfast, the team put on their Sunday best, climbed onto their motorcycles, and headed out for a 45-minute ride to a small church in a rural community.

Let's just say their Sunday best didn't look quite so Sunday best by the time they arrived!

The journey was an adventure of its own—rocky roads, deep mud-filled puddles, and terrain that gave the motorcycles' suspension systems a serious workout. For some, it was a spirited ride through the Haitian countryside. For others, more of a leisurely Sunday drive. Either way, everyone arrived with a little more mud and a few more stories to tell!

Church was already underway when the team arrived, and their presence quickly filled the building until it was standing room only.

**And what a beautiful reminder of the power and beauty of the local church!**

The worship was loud, joyful, and filled with passion. No one needed to understand every word to recognize that these brothers and sisters love Jesus! The pastor was delighted to see his church overflowing, but the visiting team may have been the ones who walked away most blessed.

Standing alongside believers worshipping Jesus in a small rural Haitian church was a powerful reminder:

**The Church of Jesus Christ is alive and well!**

Not just in comfortable buildings back home. Not just in cities. But along muddy roads, in remote villages, and in communities much of the world will never see.

Different countries. Different languages. Different cultures. **One Saviour. One faith. One family.**

The same Jesus worshipped in Canada is being passionately worshipped in Haiti. What a privilege to experience that!

After church, the team returned to the mission base with water-filled shoes, mud-splattered clothes, and motorcycles that looked like they'd been through a war. Lunch and a little time to regroup were definitely appreciated!

Then it was back on the bikes to visit one of the feeding programs supported through **Haiti Bible Mission**.

Here, dozens of children receive meals three times a week because of generous people who believe that loving Jesus means loving people.

It's one thing to talk about compassion. It's another thing to see it in action.

**Every meal represents more than food. It represents hope, dignity, love, and a tangible reminder that these children have not been forgotten.**

**The gospel is good news, and when it's truly understood, it moves people to action.**

What a beautiful picture of being the hands and feet of Jesus! The generosity of those who support this ministry, along with the faithfulness of those serving these children week after week, is making a meaningful difference.

Later in the afternoon, the team enjoyed some time at the beach, swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the beauty of God's creation. A little rest was a welcome gift after a full day!

The day finished with cleaning mud-covered motorcycles before heading to dinner at a local restaurant that Haiti Bible Mission helped someone establish. Another wonderful reminder that missions isn't just about meeting immediate needs, but also about empowering people, creating opportunities, and helping communities flourish.

**What an incredible day!**

There is so much to be thankful for—the safety of the team, the joy of worshipping with Haitian brothers and sisters, and the opportunity to witness firsthand how God is working through the faithful ministry of Haiti Bible Mission.

But the prayer for this team is that the trip will accomplish far more than creating great memories and incredible stories.

**The prayer is that God changes hearts.**

That He opens their eyes to what He sees.

That He deepens their compassion for people.

That He challenges their comfort, stretches their faith, and reminds them that following Jesus is about so much more than simply attending church on Sunday.

**That God would break their hearts for what breaks His—and then give them the courage to do something about it.**

Because the goal of a missions trip isn't simply to come home with stories about what was seen.

**It's to come home changed by what God has revealed.**

And if Sunday was any indication, God is already at work!
