Rain, Rain, Go Away

After a later breakfast this morning, we had an opportunity to go back to the seniors home and do some cleaning for them and do some fun activities. Half of the team spent about an hour doing a clean of residents’ rooms, as well as some common areas. The other half spent time with the seniors, doing exercises, playing with balloons and mingling about.

We served some shepherd’s pie and banana cream pie and after lunch, spent some time singing hymns and playing BINGO all together.

The rain stopped enough for us to go to La Bufadora, a touristic spot by the ocean with lovely views, souvenir stalls and tasty food.

We came back and ate a delicious flutas dinner and listened to a devotional on how God continues to love us through whatever speed bumps we go through and his grace and strength is sufficient for us during all that we go through.

In the evening, Randy and Sandy shared their testimony with us and we got to hear how they ended up in Mexico and how El Refugio came to be. It was encouraging to hear about God’s faithfulness throughout their journey
