Needs met through God's plan

While the Voice Of Hope (VOH) Ontario group were in Kenya, they met, by God’s divine arrangement, Regina and her grandson, Henry, in their tiny worn-out home. Regina is elderly and Henry is her only support; he handles the farm and brings in the income. However, Henry had an accident that dislocated his femur, an incredibly painful experience. There were no funds for hospital or medical care and when the team met them, Henry had resigned himself to this new life and disability and wondered how he would ever be able to provide for himself and his koko (grandmother).

Since joining the VOH project, though, Henry has received the hospital care needed to return his femur to the correct position, and he is so grateful for what VOH has done for him.

Henry and Regina are also celebrating the construction of a new home that will give them a sound roof and a safe sleep. They will receive a food pack while they recover, and their current small home will be converted into a kitchen with a high efficiency wood burning rocket stove. Both will receive ongoing medical care, and Henry will receive instruction on planting a more profitable garden that will provide them more food to sustain them.
