In October of 2014 The Voice of Hope group made their first visit to Kakamega. During their time in country they met some beautiful women who are trying to make a life for themselves and their children without the protection or income that a husband provides. Since that first visit the team has invested in capital projects, improving homes and living conditions and in food hampers, tuition, agriculture training and access to business training and microfinance loans for a very very grateful group of families.

Women's day

The women of the Voice of Hope program have been invited to take over the planning and execution of the quarterly women’s day events. They formed a little committee with group spiritual leaders, which communicated with Everlyne and Aggrey, and have more than risen to the occasion. In March the Ontario VOH team joined the women as they took on the topic of sin. Guest speakers were brought in for the occasion. The event opened with heartfelt prayer and joyful worship and was filled with preaching and teaching. Tea was enjoyed together, as the group digested both a delicious snack in their tummies and the word of God in their minds and hearts.

While they ate and sipped tea the women enjoyed a time of fellowship, love and laughter before returning to their home communities and regular lives. They look so impressive in their matching shirts and skirts and really look forward to these times of unity that bring the Voice of Hope women together and unite them in their desire to grow in Godliness, wisdom and love.
