The Siaya Children’s Home, established in 2005 under the umbrella of Gospel Power World Harvest Ministries, has been meeting the needs of a group of children whose early lives did not follow the path they might have dreamed of.

The home has been supported by an endowment fund provided to Hungry For Life, and these funds have been well used over the years to meet the ongoing needs of this group of children as they have progressed from primary school to secondary school and then on to college and university. Along the way, they have grown into strong, mature, faith-filled Kenyan men and women who are beginning to find their way in the world, with the hope of one day being able to pay it forward to others in their communities.

The home moved to Kisumu, Kenya, in 2021 to allow the students access to a broader choice of colleges and universities as they completed their education.

Almost 20 children have passed through the home over the years, and each one is incredibly thankful for the support and stability this project has provided. There are now five young people in the home, completing their secondary and post-secondary education. By the end of 2029, the home will close as the endowment funds are used and all of the students have graduated and moved on from the home.
