The feeding centres are for those who have been identified as malnourished or at-risk children. They are fed large mid-day meal 3–4 times a week. UCI also provides health and nutritional training and simple agricultural techniques for the parents. UCI desires physical, mental, social and spiritual development for all the kids in their communities.

Good nutrition

Thank you to those for helping provide a meal for each of the 1300 children attending school. The preschool, primary and high schools are finishing up their 2nd quarter. So many are helping a child go to school and there is great thanks for that.

A favourite Haitian proverb is: An empty sack can't stand up. This is so true. UCI has many kids that come to school with red hair and malnourished bodies. A noticeable difference is seen within months of having the school meal and extra peanut butter supplements. Good nutrition leads to better development.

"We are desiring better physical, mental, social and spiritual development in all our kids."
