As I reflect on my leadership journey, I can clearly see how God is shaping and growing me in ways I didn’t always expect. In 2022, I stepped into a new opportunity to join the leadership team at HFL. Although I had some uncertainty, I felt a strong calling to step into this role and pursue what God was leading me toward. Leadership isn’t about arriving at a destination; it’s about continually learning, adapting, and trusting the path God sets before us. I've realized that the challenges and growth I experience are part of His plan to equip me for the purpose He’s given me.
When I was a young adult, others saw leadership potential in me before I did. Their encouragement pushed me into roles that stretched me and built my confidence, even when I wasn’t sure of my own abilities. Those early experiences taught me that leadership isn’t about having it all figured out but about being willing to step out in faith, take risks, and allow growth to happen. And I couldn’t ask for a better team to do this with!
As a parent, my leadership is driven by a passion to leave the world better for my kids. I want them to grow up in a place defined by compassion, justice, and hope for themselves and the world they find around them. This calling gives me a sense of purpose beyond just the tasks of today; it connects my leadership to a larger legacy for future generations.
Leadership is a significant responsibility—an opportunity to serve, influence, and create change. I am grateful for the encouragement I have received over the years and for the ways God continues to grow me. With His guidance, I know I am equipped to make a difference—not only in my own life but in the lives of those who come after me.
