Rancho El Camino operates on an Asset Based Community Development Model. It is highly communal, simple, and relationship based focusing on strengths and where God is at work in the community. 

The Purpose Statement of the Ranch is: Encounter the presence of God, be Equipped for the work of God, Extend the Kingdom of God, and Exalt the name of God. Some of the key ways that the Ranch achieves these purposes are through the varied ministries they operate.

These ministries include; the Equine Therapy center, Community training center, Casita village project and the ongoing Ranch kids programs.  

These ministries offer outreach opportunities to the community, as they invite youth and families to engage with both the activities of the Ranch, but also the sharing of the Gospel. This outreach is the building block to development of not only the youth and families, but of their greater communities and networks. Many of the local staff at Rancho El Camino have grown up as a part of these programs and are now working at the Ranch as well as in their communities to share the gospel and help develop more leaders.
