As Project Manager, Brian works closely with International Partners in Guatemala and leads the development and administration of HFL’s Granting Program. Drawing on his business background, he also helps strengthen HFL’s systems and processes to prepare for future growth.
Brian graduated from Trinity Western University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and later earned a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. Although he began in the counselling field, he spent over two decades with a biotechnology company, which launched a long career in business. In 2024, he transitioned to HFL, where he combines his professional experience with his passion for people and community.
Though Brian’s career path did not follow his academic training, his passion has always been for people and relationships. He has grown to value the connection between one’s personal walk with God and the role of community in realizing God’s purposes both individually and corporately.
Brian and Joy have been married for forty-two years and have three adult children—two married and one “hoping.” In his spare time, Brian enjoys reading, woodworking, and driving with the roof down.
