I believe my God-given administrative skills are meant to empower others and contribute to seeing others thrive when the behind-the-scenes tasks are taken care of well.”
Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Char has always been passionate about helping people and seeing lives transformed through the love of Jesus. Today, she serves as Executive Administrator at Hungry For Life, supporting the people, systems, and processes that help teams and partners serve communities around the world. Her work includes supporting leadership and strategic planning, coordinating communication, and helping ensure projects, partnerships, and initiatives move forward effectively.
What Char loves most about her role is helping create opportunities for lasting impact. While much of her work happens behind the scenes, she sees administration as a way of enabling others to thrive and serve well. She is passionate about strengthening leaders, supporting local partners, and helping create the kind of relationships that lead to both spiritual and practical transformation. She is grateful to be part of an organization committed to seeing communities flourish through long-term relationships, local leadership, and practical expressions of God's love.
Char has also had the opportunity to travel with Hungry For Life to the Dominican Republic, Cambodia, and Mexico, where seeing projects firsthand and hearing the stories of local communities has deepened her appreciation for the work and reinforced her sense of calling. These experiences continually remind her that every role matters in helping people experience hope, dignity, and the love of Christ.
Char lives in Chilliwack, BC, with her husband Caleb. Outside of work, she enjoys investing in her local church community, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the outdoors through camping, skiing, road trips, reading, and evenings around a campfire.
