Hard to believe that the week is over already.
On Thursday our guest went to the mineral pool here in Mukachevo and then went for a walk down the river embankment . Most churches in Ukraine still have a mid week service, which is held on Thursday night we attended. One of the ladies from the group shared her testimony which brought a few tears. After the service the church invited our group for supper, which was fantastic, especially the desserts !! The younger crowd in our group played UNO with the church youth group after supper.
On Thursday Mischa a relative of Tanya and Mischa (Mary's sister and brother in-law) came to pick up some food supplies that they were delivering to a church for an event for Internally Displace People.
Friday was last full day for the group ...which was a relaxing day. It's hard for us to imagine what life would be like living in a country at war. How much the group appreciated the fact their wasn't the constant noise and violence of war....the air sirens, missiles, drones, interrupting their sleep at night. The fact that they could go for a afternoon nap in a quite house.
Friday night after supper was another night of singing, sharing and enjoying each others company. Pastor Rostik shared a devotional with the group to end the evening.
Robert started another building project, a swing gazebo in the backyard of the retreat house.
We made 17 new friends that we were able to share life with this past week, but Saturday morning it was time to say goodbye.
