We said goodbye to our new friends from Zhytomyr on Saturday morning, lots of smiles, tears and hugs. What a blessing it was to be able to spend the week with them. Please pray for these women and many others in Ukraine that have lost a loved one in the war, and that PEACE may come soon.
Robert built a few pieces of furniture last week. A lobby table for the seniors home, a cabinet for the retreat house kitchen and he’s currently working on a bench for the backyard.
Our second group arrived two hours after the first group left and to our surprise it was ours friends from Nikopol. Pastor John and Nadia, Natasha, Luba, Lena and Julia and some of their kids and grandchildren, a total of 11.
Our first day and a half was filled with stories and reminiscing about the past, and asking about where is so and so and what are they up to.
It’s going to be GREAT week!!!
The ladies are excited about spending time in the bible.Sig is going to be leading bible studies in the mornings and evenings. Our first bible study was tonight on the Hebrew word for "in the beginning" which is בְּרֵאשִׁית (Bereshit or Bereishit), and going through each Hebrew letter in Bereshit and its meaning.
One of our team members (Lee) went home today, which was planned. Lee has a commitment to honour at HFL.
Sorry for the lack of pictures today, I will catch up in the next few days. Too busy catching up with our friends from Nikopol…
