Today was another amazing day in Bolivia. We woke up early in the morning and hopped on buses to go to the camp. On our way there we went outside the city into tropical areas on a bumpy, flooded dirt road. We arrived and gathered everyone in a circle and played a few games like balloon popping and foot & hand hopscotch. We did a skit about pharaoh and the plagues with myself as pharaoh and Marty as Moses (with an itchy beard).
We then played games in the field like bucket ball, and sponge relay. Then they made us a delicious lunch with meat, noodles and veggies. The kids and the team (but especially Lisa) were excited to go into the pool. I got to go into the pool for only a little bit because I got stuck in the bathroom not once but twice. After the pool we made marshmallow guns with the kids and painted tote bags with the moms.
After we returned to El Jordan we left quickly to go to the boys workshop to watch them race their cars that they built with us. After the intense races we gave them all white caps jerseys and they were all very excited to wear them. We ate dinner of hot dogs fresh off the grill.
After the time with the boys, we rode back to El Jordan in taxis and had debrief and went to bed. Can’t wait for another exciting day in Bolivia.
