Today, was our second hygiene lesson to the girls and boys. It is always a blessing to see how bright, respectful and receptive the students are. After the teaching, when they all received their hygiene kits and backpacks, there were smiles all around. Afterwards, it was time to pack up and travel from Kakamega to Siaya. It’s always hard to leave the friends who have cared for us so warmly: Aggrey, Violet, Julia, and Maggie. Goodbyes are always difficult, but we are grateful for the new memories we made with them this year. Once we arrived in Siaya, we met up with Kathy, Connie and Elijah and had time for a few visits. Although brief, each was meaningful and encouraging for both the widows and our team. It was a day of saying see you next time to some friends, but then, hello, to others. Goodbye Kakamega, Hello Siaya.
