After visiting Hebron Medical Center in Phnom Penh, our remaining team visited Hebron Branch Clinic in Siem Reap. We noticed that this Hebron branch is like a walk-in clinic and treats only minor health issues. There are only four people that work here, an admin, a clerk (finance & pharmacy), a doctor and a nurse. There were two doctors, but one doctor returned to Korea two years ago. The staff are welcoming and have had a lot on their plate during the last couple of years. Because of the small staff team, if one doctor or nurse is away, there is no one extra to step in and cover the shift. This is certainly challenging, but highlights the dedication and commitment of this team. We learned that this clinic will be moved to a larger building after summer. We pray that God will provide the necessary needs for the future of this Hebron clinic, through staffing and opportunities to expand their service to this community.
Later we had an opportunity to visit Clothed with Dignity, the ministry of Darren and Minako who have been traveling with our team and helping lead the Redemptive Business Gathering. It was great to see the sewing center, showroom, fish farm and more that they have helped launch for local empowerment and job creation.
Please be praying for our team as we come to the end of our trip, and conclude with a final day of the Redemptive Business Gathering tomorrow.
Your prayers throughout our trip have been so appreciated!
