Today …Sunday morning the team had a couple options of where to worship. One option was to worship at gypsy church that Mary’s father Anton planted or go to Chad and Mary’s home church. Mary had a burning desire to go to the gypsy church so that’s were the team went.
On the way to the village we did drive through another gypsy village that was extremely poor… the houses were small and poorly built. The life expectancy of a gypsy is half of a average Ukrainian.
Prior to the church service we unloaded the food from van, which will be distributed to the village at the Sunday evening service.
Chad and Mary shared a bit of their story of why and how they are serving God during the war. The rest of the team also had the opportunity to say a few words on why they were in Ukraine.
After the church service we had the opportunity to handout some candies to the kids, which like all kids was very appreciated.
On the way home we stop for lunch in Mukachevo and then it was time to go home to see Chad off to the front line to serve with a group of chaplains at a stabilization centre.
Ended the day by doing some meal prep, which consisted of making buns and small meat balls.
Tomorrow we will start hosting our guest for the week
