About Dave Blundell

Dave gives leadership to the organization through the Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership Team. His primary responsibilities include being a vision champion, developing partnerships, supporting the staff team, developing leadership, and inspiring and representing the organization.

Dave graduated from Ambrose University (1994) with a Bachelor of Theology, Trinity Western University (2010) with a Masters in International Development Leadership, and Tyndale University (2024) with a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership. Dave's doctoral research project focused on the localization of leadership in international development assistance.

Dave served as a pastor in a Christian and Missionary Alliance church for six years and was ordained in 1998. He later served as the Director of Global Operations for Global Aid Network, leading relief and development projects in numerous countries. In 2003, Dave with a group of others, founded Hungry For Life International, where he works as the Executive Director of a growing team of staff and volunteers. Dave has taught in the B.A. Leadership program at Trinity Western University and Introduction to Community Development at Columbia Bible College. He has published two books, Hungry For Life - A Vision of the Church that Would Transform the World and Professionally Religious - The Spiritual Poverty of Spiritual Leaders.

Dave is married to Heidi and has two adult children. His absolute favourite activities are anything where he can hang out with his family, running and hiking. Dave and Heidi attend Yarrow Alliance Church.
