Today marked our third day of teaching at Village Number Two, and what a day it was! From start to finish, it was filled with meaningful connections, joyful moments, and unforgettable memories.
We began our day bright and early, heading into the classroom to teach eager young minds. Each lesson brought smiles, laughter, and a growing sense of community between us and the students. It’s been amazing to see how much they’re learning and how much we’re learning from them in return.
Later in the day, we were invited to play a volleyball game—Peru vs. Canada! What started as a friendly match quickly turned into an exciting, laughter-filled showdown. Everyone brought their A-game, and the sense of camaraderie between the teams was incredible. No matter who won, the fun and fellowship we shared made everyone feel like champions.
One of the most special parts of our day was spending time with the children. We played, laughed, and shared beautiful moments together that we’ll all carry in our hearts. Their energy and joy were contagious.
In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to walk through the community and pray with the families. These moments of connection were deeply moving. Being welcomed into their homes and lives was humbling and reminded us of the true purpose of this trip.
To end our long but fulfilling day, we sat down to share a meal with the local teachers and their families. There was food, laughter, and a strong sense of unity. It felt like sitting around the table with extended family—different backgrounds, but one shared heart.
As we wrap up day three, we’re tired, yes—but filled with gratitude. Every handshake, every prayer, every laugh reminded us why we’re here. We're looking forward to what tomorrow will bring and thank you for your prayers.
