*The EVE team is on the move again — this time heading south to the beautiful, sunny Dominican Republic 🌴☀️ *
But this is no tropical holiday.
We are travelling to continue fulfilling EVE’s mission and vision, partnering with local ministries in Juan Tomás (Fudesa) and Santo Domingo (Pro Infancia). Together, we are continuing working to fulfill the vision of EVE, where violence is not considered commonplace. We do this by engaging people in discussions to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and find solutions. We aim to strengthen communities through education, discussions and action planning around locally identified issues of violence.
Our team of five heads out with a mix of excitement, deep humility, and anticipation for the days ahead. While we are sadly a team member short this trip, we carry her with us in heart and prayer, believing for healing and renewed strength.
We are incredibly grateful for the support surrounding us. Debbie and Barbara, we miss you and thanks for your belief in us carrying this torch on. And to each of you who make this work possible. Your encouragement, your generosity, and prayers matter more than you know. You are part of this mission, and we truly feel that as we go.
Tonight, we make a quick stop in Denver before continuing on to the island of Hispaniola tomorrow.
