Hampers, English, Explosions, OH MY!
Today was full of smiles, laughs, learning, and explosions!
As the youth, we had the privilege of spending the morning with the kids at the school, teaching them some English! We split into groups to teach grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-9. To top it off, we played soccer at recess (and lost), and then redeemed ourselves playing street hockey. Forming connections with these kids is so much fun, and has been such a great way to share the love of Jesus. We were also able to thank the teachers for their love and dedication for the kids by gifting them with special occasion outfits. After lunch, we went to do some home visits, delivering food hampers to families in the Jesus Viene Church community. Everyone we met today was so impactful, and their hearts for serving were inspiring. Then came dinner time, fried chicken from Pollo Campero! (Muy bien).
After eating too much, we started our birthday celebrations for Daniel and Addi! We set off mucho fireworks, and only 1 person ALMOST got hurt… (looking at you Dan). The day was complete with Tres Leches cake and a piñata. A fantastic day of being the hands and feet of Jesus! Only one day left!
