We have arrived save and sound !!! The team was blessed with an uneventful day of travel between Canada and Ukraine … and Lee traveling in from Copenhagen.
Our first group from the Compass church in Zhytomyr, 2 hours west of Kyiv will be joining us at the retreat house on Monday just after lunch. So for the next three days the team will be preparing for our guests' arrival. The group coming consists of 17 women that lost a loved one in the war.
It was wonderful just to spend time today talking and telling stories with Chad, Mary, Tatyana and Lizie (Tatyana’s friend from Bend Oregon).
We ended the day visiting Peter’s (Mary’s brother) senior home, which is a couple weeks away from being completed. Once done it will provide 17 seniors a wonderful spot to live.
It’s going to be an early night tonight to try and catch up on some sleep!!!
