Day 4: Did you know that Santa Cruz has the Guinness World Record for the largest lily pad? They were massive! These lily pads look like a Costco family-sized floaty on the water!

Some of the team were up and at ’em at 4:30am, loading up Corina’s car with sandwich orders - over 200 sandwiches for the Father’s Day celebration!
Others helped early in the morning by picking up 200 pieces of chicken, washing chairs, and cleaning. The ladies were helping with kitchen prep and cookies for more orders. It was a sweet and sticky team-building experience!

Lots of sweeping, mopping, helping with landscaping, and fixing bricks in and around El Jordan! sharpening knives for the kitchen staff.

After everything was spick and span, we drove out to La Rinconada Park and Restaurant for lunch.
Scenery, swings, slides, and sunburns!

What beautiful scenery. Honestly, this was God’s creation on a whole other level!! Walking in felt like a tropical forest. The flowers were stunning!
Swinging like Tarzan in a tropical rainforest—that was the adventure we had. Sliding down with toboggan mats and racing each other. Lying on hammocks and enjoying the sun. Some of us had more sun than others…
For lunch, Pique macho is the Bolivian poutine with eggs on top! And fun fact: alligator tastes like chewy popcorn chicken!
After our fun and relaxing time at La Rinconada, we went souvenir shopping at the plaza, and passion fruit cream is simply delicious!
We are becoming regulars at our ice cream place: Vaca fria! We ended the night with our team sharing stories of a difficult time in our lives where we could see the love and mercy of God, up on the roof.

What a day! We can’t wait for tomorrow! 😊
