Happy New Years Eve!

We went to the house build this morning for the last time, to put the finishing touches on the house. Touch ups were done on the inside and outside and the final trim was put in around the doorways. The curtains were put up on the windows and the doorways. Alice painted a beautiful picture for the family to remind them to serve the Lord throughout their lives.

We handed the keys over after praying for their family and made our way to the migrant camp.

It was pouring rain when we got there but we were able to sing some songs with the families, do a Bible story on loving your neighbour and the kids did a craft to remind them about the importance of loving those around you.

We came back to El Refugio and enjoyed some free time in preparation for tonight’s new years festivities.

We had a local youth group join us and we played some fun Minute to Win It games, a plethora of group games and enjoyed partaking in Mexico’s largest pizza entry! Our devotional tonight challenged the group to seek God’s kingdom throughout our every day lives this year and to not do what is right in our own eyes but to see the world through God’s eyes.

We rang in the new year with some worship songs, prayer and of course, fireworks!

Happy New Year! Feliz Año Nuevo!
