After a very long trip, our team arrived safely from Canada — tired but thankful. We did not take too much time to rest, we set off right away to visit two of our widows, Rose and her grandson Raj, and then Jennifer Alusa. Jennifer welcomed us so warmly, and it was such an encouraging start for our new 2025 team. Even though everyone was running on little sleep, the team sat quietly, taking in every word as Jennifer shared her story — what life was like before she became part of Voice of Hope. Jennifer’s journey has not been easy. Her marriage was filled with conflict, and family relationships were broken and painful. She often felt unseen, unsupported, and overwhelmed. In those hard days, she began drinking alongside her husband — thinking, if you can’t beat him, join him. But God stepped in. He stopped her and showed her a new path — the way of peace. Today, Jennifer no longer feels like a “nobody.” She knows she is seen and valued. People often ask her how she got to where she is now — with her children in school, a home of her own with love and harmony, and the ability to provide for her family. Her life is a beautiful testimony of God’s grace, provision and transformation.
