Good evening!
We started our day with a delicious pancake breakfast before walking to church just a few minutes away. We participated in a beautiful service that included a powerful sermon. We even tried singing in Spanish and had the special opportunity to sing Amazing Grace for the congregation!
After church, we connected with members of the community—some of us even received a tour of the local high school.
In the afternoon, we spent time preparing Bible crafts for the week and enjoyed playing basketball with local children. Later, we walked through the community and were blessed to visit three homes, where we had the privilege of delivering food bags, singing, and praying with the families. It was incredibly moving to witness the joy and gratitude of the Dominican people, even in the midst of poverty. In one touching moment, a couple of our group members gave their hats to locals—it was humbling to see how much it meant to them.
In the evening, after dinner, we attended church again and took part in the Lord’s Supper. Due to the rain, the attendance was smaller, but the time was meaningful. A few of us shared personal testimonies of recent blessings and offered our own prayer requests to the congregation.
We are deeply grateful for the warm hospitality of our hosts and the surrounding community. We’re excited for the week ahead and eager to see what the Lord has in store!
