Heading
Today we started early. We loaded up the bus with our parts and pipe at 6 a.m. We had a quick breakfast, then we left the lodge in Blantyre.
First, we dropped off the ladies at the Timotheos head office.
There, they trained some ladies for the Dignity for Girls.
While they were doing that, we got some groceries. After that, we went back to the office, picked up the ladies, and got all the poly. The bus was fully loaded !!!
Then we went on our way to our lodge, Kanzimbi, close to the child centre. The drive was around 2 1/2 hours. The surroundings changed from mountains to flat lands. For some of us, we just made it to the lodge. Daniel did need to jump out of his window to make it.
We did have a shock when we got out of our nice cold bus. It was 36 degrees.
We unloaded some suitcases and then we went to the child centre, Chigumukera. Here, we met all the kids and a whole bunch of teachers. Billy, the intern on the farm, showed us around and explained what they were all doing on the farm. It looks like all the things/ systems put in place are making a difference in the crops and harvests.
Susan and Marco told us what the plan is for this week, and we unloaded the bus. On the way back to the lodge, we stopped at the child centre, Nyamethuthu. Here, we will put a line in for the kitchen.
Right now, we are sitting here with a cold drink and going to have supper soon.
