Heading
Starting our morning off, after a restful night with AC and no power outages(!), we had some amazing coffee and a lekker breakfast.
After breakfast we went to visit our bus driver, Innocent’s, church! It was a very good service with some familiar parts and some new experiences. We were welcomed, asked to introduce ourselves, explain where we were from, and what we were doing in Malawi.
After church we came back to our accommodations (which is a lovely place and such a treat to finish off the trip!) after a snacky lunch everyone went off to relax in their rooms or by the poolside for a few hours.
After some more unwinding and relaxing after our long week we met together on the patio for a debrief of our time at Chigumukire. There was some great conversation, lots of sharing, some tears shed, encouragement given, and some new thoughts and revelations in regards to not only the impact we had on the children and people here, but also on the mind blowing impact this trip, and all the people we interacted with, has had on all of us. Many memories and the personal impact this trip has had on each of us were shared. Future ideas and changes were also talked about and discussed.
Supper was then served and some more fellowship and talking happened, finishing off our final full day in Malawi in on a lovely note.
