Today was a very successful day, which was largely due to it being first night we got to sleep with fans/AC since being in Nsanje. Marc started us off with his plan for day, which included a lot of finishing touches to the project. Verna and Dan completed the supply lines for the tomato expansion, Roy finished the riser alterations for intercropping, Marcel, Trudy, Kamryn, and Alfred helped organize the pump house, Marc and Marcel installed a site glass on the irrigation tank, and a lot of drip tape got assembled with the whole team. We also got the sponsorship updates completed, we got to take updated pictures of each student along with updating their information with a questionnaire. It was very special and eye opening talking with each student on their prayer requests.

We made a point to spend as much time with all the students, this caused a lot of chaos along with a lot of fun. We had skipping ropes, chalk, and played large group games. One of the biggest hits was when Gerrit and Dan played goat vs hyena.

In the morning we took a break to have devotions with the garden workers. Billy volunteered to lead us and we learnt about the local spiritual hardships they face in Africa. It was a beautiful time shared with one another.

Some of us were also able to teach a group of young ladies on the days for girls kit maintenance. We made sure the girls know how to keep their feminine hygiene kits clean and sanitized for when they receive them.

In the evening, we went to the Nsanje market to buy items to put together appreciation baskets for the employees at the Kamzibi lodge. Walking through the market, you start to see the true level of poverty southern Malawi faces. After the market we took in the Shire River while having a rock throwing contest with the street kids.
