Well, we made it to Rancho El Camino.
After leaving behind the rain in Vancouver, we stepped into the warm air of Southern Baja California—and it felt like a different world already.
It was a decent day of travel. A delayed departure out of Vancouver turned into a scenic flight down the coast, with views stretching over Los Angeles and San Diego before we finally landed—just a little late—in San José del Cabo. Thankfully, the rest of the arrival process couldn’t have gone smoother. Immigration was quick, luggage came without delay, and before long we were on our way.
Part of our group—Gordon, Jurian, Patrick, and Roger—grabbed a taxi to pick up the two vans. After a fairly smooth rental process, they circled back to the airport for the rest of us. Once reunited, we hit the road toward our first stop: Agricola Market in Todos Santos.
Todos Santos greeted us with charm and good food. We enjoyed a simple but delicious Mexican meal—burritos and tacos loaded with fresh cilantro, pico de gallo, and salsa verde, all washed down with refreshing melon juice. After a long travel day, it was exactly what we needed.
From there, we continued on to Rancho El Camino, arriving around 9:30 p.m. The night sky stopped us in our tracks—brilliant stars stretching endlessly overhead. It was the perfect welcome.
Bobby and Jen greeted us warmly, gave us a few quick instructions, and before long, we were settling in for the night—tired, grateful, and ready for what lies ahead.
